(Watching the storm from my window)
the fury come rolling up to the house,
tempest of tempting tidal
fragrance flower over the patio
quenching the Red Rock drought.
a welcomed wash.
tempest of tempting tidal
fragrance flower over the patio
quenching the Red Rock drought.
a welcomed wash.
between the curtain of rain drops,
I view a path to a menacing sky
and terrible thunder.
such noise to wake this wasteland of
quiet stagnate slumber and hazy heat.
I feel it in my chest…
my feet
my dry mouth
my dry bones.
watching the storm from my window
with both wariness and wonder.
where the noon day heat wave’s
last sticky stagnate grasp
withers and dissapates
with relief.
A welcomed awakening.
