3D-gothics are my little experiments or “treatments” of my photos:
attempting to create a three dimensional Effect
Photo manipulated with RawTherapee and GIMP 2.6.
Saturday night I watched “Slum Dog Millionaire ” for the first time. I liked the movie. I am reminded what a violent world this for children to grow up in.
Writing poetry is one way I deal with things, including uncomfortable things
A couple my older efforts about growing up in the violence of the world:
Walking down the streets
With holes in his shoes
Empty pocket, heavy mind
And nothing to lose.
He wants to take back
All the promises given
Now banished away
By life’s hard Living.
Thunder crash! random act..
Everyone hit the ground.
One less forgotten soul
on the forgotten side of town.
“Don’t worry” says momma
“He was promised to heaven”
Somewhere a new babe was born
at a quarter to eleven…
i can tell you
what you do is wrong
i can give you
all my judging opinions
in poem, prose or song .
but a single
act of valure
in an unscripted
shocks my core
with heroic standard
finite words will never say
*M. Fisher was in her elementary school when she told a gunman to shoot her first, and not her classmates.
In the first poem “Momma” is just a mother, there is no reference to my other posts or usages of “Momma”.
You know,.. I always been more of “Betty Page” guy, but this post is about art (Ha!)… and in the spirit of such artist as Warhol, I went with a more conventional beauty Queen and pop figure: Miss Marylin Monroe. What a beautiful lady she was.
Expanding on the “mass produced” prints concepts, I decided to create a Monroe print cube…. Maybe a its a puzzle cube — the perfect gift for the consumer holidays.
Ok, enough pretentious bull. This is really just me playing with image Filters on GIMP (on my GNU/Linux system) and Photoscape on Window7.
more weird art experiments here.
I’m still learning to use GIMP to manipulate images into something loosely…er Artistic. The program is alot of fun to use, especially on the Gnome 3.42 desktop environment for linux. The biggest problem I have is that GIMP is so big I forget where the commands are.
the (incomplete) globe on below was done with a GIMP Filter.
I hope to make something a little more complet soon.
I finally have the balls to learn learning GIMP.
flower balls… or rather spinning globes. the image is to scrappy looking to be a regular image with poem. its a work in progress.

I write Like James Joyce? That a hell of a complement.
**I don’t know if James Joyce wrote a lot of poetry; he best known for his novels, prose and plays.
In Ulysses and Finnegan Wake he employed the “Stream of Consciousness” Narrative. Stream of consciousness, replaced traditional periodic Meta-narrative with the continuous flow of perception -reflection- and reactions of that mimics a persons thought process.
In Ulysses moves back and forth through history and western cultures implementing this narrative. Finnegan’s Wake used the narrative style explore the symbolism and ambiguity of conscious, between dream and reality.
I call would it a ” heap of broken images” (from T.S. Elliot’s the Wasteland).
