I write like James Joyce

(WEBLOG)
I write Like James Joyce? That a hell of a complement.

I write like
James Joyce

I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

**I don’t know if James Joyce  wrote a lot of poetry; he best known for his novels, prose and plays.
In Ulysses  and Finnegan Wake he employed the “Stream  of  Consciousness”  Narrative.  Stream of consciousness, replaced traditional  periodic Meta-narrative  with the continuous flow of perception -reflection- and reactions of  that mimics a persons thought process.
In  Ulysses moves back and forth through history and western cultures implementing this narrative. Finnegan’s Wake used the narrative style explore the symbolism and ambiguity of conscious, between  dream and reality.

I call would  it a ” heap of broken images” (from T.S. Elliot’s the Wasteland).

I thought it would be a good time to see what readers think of my poetry. I am Posting a Poll to see reader reactions.
For a truly honest answer on this poem, I recommend that you go through the index thoroughly,  and read every posted poem and view every image.

Well you don’t have to do all that… just answer the polldaddy poll.

Walking with Ryan

WEBLOG Post.

I am a huge fan of the the Late Ryan Larkin’s Animation. 1943-2007. Ryan was a Canadian who was influential on modern multi media art. His 1968 academy award nominated “Walking” is is as fluid and colorful as life itsself. Its both Musical and urban.
Ryan:

Sadly, Ryan Larkin was drawn into cocaine and alcohol abuse. His creative life was short and he slipped into obscurity and homelessness.

Animator Chris Landreth created the following short based on recorded conversations with Ryan Larkin…
exposing an Artists worst fear… The fears of failure

Ryan:

Larkin died last year before making a comeback.

Bingo the clowno

Weblog entry:

bingo the clown-o thoughts

There will always be people who want to tell you
what you should do

what you should be
try to dissolve your individuality
louder and louder they will shout

and never tell you what they are about.

the wretched musical: Les Miserables

Weblog:
My all time favorite musical is Les miserables.

based on Victor Hugo’s: French Novel: Les Miserables… a terrific peace of literature.

The story is a complicated one. A central theme is that human action is not determined by the social class or by family they came from. instead they are able to act upon values of good, and are able to cast off false values.
The child of thieves can grow up to do virtues acts. Justice is not a black and white issue.
As far as the musical “les Mis” well i just love the music.
enjoy.

electricity of Beefheart

Weblog entry.

I am huge fan of Captain Beefheart and . Their music is certainly an acquired taste: A fusion delta blues, free jazz and free form. The band led by Don Van Vliet  (a.k.a. Captain Beefheart) had a post modern dadaist whimsy and mischievous.

This a rare live performance of “Electricity” on youtube by Dampear

This live performance is a little rough.  But after a couple listens, I like as much as the lp version

Don Van Vliet has left music behind to concentrate on his Art.

visit The Captain Beefheart Radar Station to see more of Van Vliet’s Art.
