Beacon (A lighthouse poem)
(reposted as text post)
Meet me at the lighthouse
at a quarter till four
we will drink in the sea breeze,
and keep the ships from the shore.
‘
our whirling beam of light
Shall cut through the night
our winding conversation
shall bind our bodies tight.
‘
your seducing smile and beating breast
lures me through the jagged surf
I’d rather crash upon your rocks
then sail the empty sea of search
,
so I’ll find you at the lighthouse
in your beacon body form
between your light behind your light
we will find us glowing warm.

Most enchanting poem I’ve read in awhile. There’s always been some mystic quality that’s drawn me to lighthouses (and clocktowers), and to see it expressed in verse is moving. Thank you for sharing.
