Morning Glory

*

daylight come roaring up one morning
peeling back the slumbering night drapes
That unveil swirling morning flame

leaping… sill to sill
inspecting the household nook and crannies
like whiskered wandering curiosity
slippery slinky sunbeams

fading fast the darkness
filling fast, the morning
it blooms in its glory.
