Automatic Lovers

(a bitter sweet valentines  day verse by the Gifted Poet)

I would really like to meet you,” I said
“Why ruin a good thing?” she laughs
,
she comes to me in midnite dreams,
starry eyed, with cherub wings
in visions of broadband streams
yet, In day I only hear her screens
,
“I’m not here right now, please leave a message”
we smile.
,
Oh,
eyes that never met
teeth never shared
stomachs that never groan
together.
,
maybe we could be Facebook, friends I think.
Or twitter tweets we share
…”till we drowned”

  1. Many people can identify with digital love. The connection might be made through technology, but the emotion behind it is very real.
