steeple chase

If only you and I could be
Clouds above the Summer City.
Two ghosts play tag,
Steeple to steeple
High above the unassuming people
,
Laughing thunder
Wink of lightening
Then disappear
Across the horizon
,
If only you and I could be
Clouds above the Summer City
Two hearts at chase
Steeple to Steeple
Ringing bells inside the Cathedrals.

  3. Thank you both. Just some thoughts… partly inspired by walking around my hometown, which has many Colonial and Federalist era Churches with tall steeples.

    • Thanks. The steeple in pics are in Pennsylvania, as is my hometown.
