your Golem

young man and young maiden
looking into the mirror
The reflecting lenses
who do you see?
what do you see?

do you see weakness and darkness
do you see distance and smallness
broken eyes, broken lenses
A body shaped by prism filter
the looking glass illusion

you are the stone,
the wind and the water
the flesh of the earth
the fire of its belly

the miracle of nature
the unfiltered you
you are your own hands
that shape out your clay

you sculpt a golem
you are your golem
from earth, dust, and love

looking glass mirrors
cast false reflections
and reflections do not stand
like your strong sturdy golem

built with your own hands
built with your own love.

    Hi Chris,
I like this. I have a soft spot in my heart for Golems.
